This has been an amazing time off with pay!
Hubby Lucas and I had plan to visit friends and our 1st year college boy this week.
Forgive me , but I am one of those people who listen to signs. As we were making plans stress, obstacles and money kept coming up. I wanted to back out but didn't want to let anyone down. Then I go to the eye doctor for my yearly exam and he says my eyes has drastically changed and I should wait for new contacts before I do a 4 hr drive. There it is, my out for a stressful vacation. I call my best friend and our son to reschedule for the end of the month. Yay! Stress , obstacles and money all better.
The decision to stay home was a great one. I have spent time creating, exploring, loving, appreciating, cleaning, enjoying and living in the moment. These past few days hanging with my guys has given me such a feeling of completeness. We spend so much time achieving something that we don't enjoy the journey getting to the accomplishment. I feel like I'm given a second chance to achieve a certain goal, but this time on my journey I am going to pay attention to the flowers, trees and people that I meet along the way. I will really cherish the totality of accomplishment. So on that note let me share the family working with Ron ( Lucas Qi-Gong student) and clay.
Thank you so much Ron! We had a blast and he left me a little starter kit. I will post the finish pictures. I can Definitely say that you'll see a lot more clay work coming from the Crafty Owl Mama. I also see a lot more crown and embellishments coming from Lucas using clay as a medium. It's funny how on vacation you spend money to make your memories and on a Staycation you can make money while making your memories!
Okay my crafties I am off to make more memories.
I will keep you posted.
Always walk in love and light.

A little Zumba in my life.
Morning my Crafties,
Hope you had an excellent Saturday, because we did! Sun is rare on the Oregon coast, so when we get it we run outside. Hubby Lucas and I took Roarke out for a walk on the prom and this walk was amazing.
It was amazing because of two reasons.
1.The weather of course
2. I had a lot more energy , so much that I convince hubby to let me wear the backpack.
Where did this energy come from? If your asking then I am answering "Zumba"!
I am really stoked because if I have this much energy after 4 days of Zumba just imagine when I lose 40 pounds on it. I am not a fad follower but these steps and the music resonates in my soul. I finally ordered the Exhilarate DVD set and after for 45min session I was hooked.
Living on the Oregon coast I miss my Hispanic community I grew up with in the Bay Area in Cali.
Latin music was always around me. You wanted to dance , no problem because there was always a club ,cafe or someone's house you could go to. Not on the coast. My caucasian hubby loves to dance with me but he also always says he isn't a good dancer. Which he knows I wouldn't have married if that was true. Now I have Zumba and hubby is off the hook for a little while. It is so wonderful to wake up with music that gets Mind Body Spirit moving. This Chica has got her groove back on the Oregon coast and Hubby loves it. Funny how a little music can do magnificent things to a family.
The best part of Zumba is having my hubby be supportive like he always is. We have been cooking , juicing and trying out recipes from the Zumba cookbook. This has become a family affair because I have to put Roarke in the backpack 20 mins into my Zumba set and finish the set with him on my back. Lol!
Roarke loves to dance and he was kicking for our favorite Podcast "I love my salsa featuring Marc Anthony" in the womb. So why were we surprise that he would poop himself out doing his version of Zumba. This little guy never stop amazing us and I hope he never does. He is hooked to Zumba like his mommy. I am so stoked that he has emerged in all of his mix heritage, learning Spanish, eating tradition Puerto Rican, Mexican and Irish cuisines and reading classic children stories from those regions. Zumba has also got us playing more world music for Roarke.
Zumba in a nutshell has been a great investment for this mix heritage family and combining this with my Hemalayaa Behl's belly dance the slimmer healthier Crafty Owl Mama will be here by the summer.
Thanks for stopping by.
