Hi my Crafties!
Do you have someone in your life that inspires you to be the best you can be?
Didn't they just pop in your head as you read the question!
Well for me his name is Lucas and he rocks my world on every level.
I love you honey this has been an amazing 9 yr. roller coaster ride. Thanks for throwing your hands in the air and waving them like you just don't care.
We have had so many twist & turns in the beginning that is was hard to just enjoy each other. Family issue + Health issues + Business issues + trying to conceive = a strained marriage.
Blessing to that struggle because how close are we now. You alway say Mexirican ingenuity when I create something, but Baby you know how to make some de-lish lemonade out of the lemons our journey has given us. You so inspire me to reach any goal I want. So today I honor you with this open love letter because baby I want the world to know that true love is real and that I found it n you.
Dearest Lucas,
You mean the world to me. You have given me what my own family couldn't, unconditional love.
When we got married on that beach in Malibu we didn't pick 1Corinthians 13 for our ceremony , it picked us! That verse has been our strength through our almost 9 yrs together & 8 yrs married.
You lift me up when I am down, wipe my tears, snuggle away the bad dreams, rub my feet after work, make me breakfast in bed ( any occasion), embraced my boys and gave them a father, translate for me because you speak my language , run to the craft store because I am out of glue dots........baby you compliment my style. I couldn't have wish for anything better because you are my wish. I hate that I lost my life mate wish collage. If I had it now I would hang it where you see it everyday to remind you that of the 15 qualities on it you have 14 (not your fault that weren't born Puerto Rican).
Now after 7 years and two miscarriage we finally have our Roarke, you keep amazing me!
You are a patient (lol!), creative, hands on, fully present loving Father. Each day I wake up with you by my side I realize how blessed I am and that the sky is the limit for us.
Thank you for being you!
Now let's get dress and enjoy a lovely rainy day on the coast!
Happy Birthday Baby!
Love Wifey
Thanks my Crafties for stopping by I will try to post later about life mate wish collages. They are so amazing.

Joy of making Mermaid soap
This holiday I wanted to make all these amazing gifts for friends and family......... But with a 10 month old baby boy achieving that goal was hard.
I was extremely frustrated with myself about this. I was trying so hard to understand why I can't accomplish more with Roarke like I did with his older brothers. Well as you can guess, it started getting close to Dec 25th and I had 9 amazing gifts all in different stages of being finished but none finished like I want it or in time. Also each pregnancy and each child is their own experience and I just need to give myself time to find my parenting crafting rhythm. It is also hard breaking that inner dialog.
Super hubby to the rescue!
"Stop beating your self up" is the first thing he says and the second was my crafty Christmas saving. He says " Do what +Kathy Cano-Murillo taught you in her online class "crafty cash" that you have been quoting all week". Which was looking around your home and use what you got. A lot of time we think we have to run out to the store and get supplies, but if you are a crafter you always have this and that boxed up or hanging out in your craft space. Those this and thats can turn out to be amazing little gifts.
Just the little reminder (okay it was a big reminder) sent my mind into full speed and remembered the glycerin soap blocks I had left over from www.glorybee.com. Looking for the soap I found several bottles of essential oils, lavender flowers, vanilla bean specks and my mermaid latex molds.
Woooohooo, now I was cooking! I didn't have special pots for doing this but I did have a box of old pots and pans waiting on their final destination. I also didn't have my mold holders but that didn't matter either since I had several big pieces of cardboard.
Mexirican ingenuity at again (according to hubby), since I didn't have full blocks just bits and pieces I mixed them together and got these amazing colors. (top right pic)
With my six mermaid molds I found I cranked out 10 sea green and 5 opaque sea foam green ones. These were so easy to make.
1. Cut soap block into small cubes and place in a stainless steel pot.
2. Place pot in a bigger pot that is filled with water. Water should be half way up the side of the pot. (Remember too much water and burner too high will cause the water to boil over)
3. Add color and essential oils ( too much oil soap will comes out greasy)
4. Place molds in cardboard cutouts. Make sure molds are secure or they will fall and spill when you pour the hot liquid soap.
5. Pour soap in molds. When solid (30 mins later) peel latex mold off and place mermaids on a rack to continue to settle for another 20 mins. I have noticed that soap will have condensation on them if you wrapp to soon.
6. Wrap and give out!
Everyone loved their soap and couldn't believe that from start to finish it was only three hours.

Thanks for stopping by and happy New Year.
